Health And Safety

The Health and Safety and welfare of our staff, clients and the general public is key to our culture at Howard Bros Joinery. We have effectively and pro-actively managed Health and Safety systems and safe practices at work for all of our activities. These are reviewed on an ongoing basis by our Health and Safety Manager. Our Risk Assessments and Method Statements are produced by those that undertake the installation, so each activity is managed by those that oversee the operation.  Our design and project teams perpetually engage with the continually developing CDM regulations and guidance to ensure that health and safety is always a priority. We are proud of our extremely good record with Health and Safety.

Training and Procedures.

We engage in a range of training programmes for our staff, apprentices and improvers which provides the skills and competencies they need to work in the construction industry.

This ensures that we keep up with the latest health and safety requirements in our factory and on all our projects.

We continually train managers on the Project to NVQ level 6, SMSTS and SSSTS levels

All site employees hold the required CSCS card.

On-Site Safety.

We are proactive with this approach and we work with the project team within the ever changing conditions on site.  Site specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments for each task on each project are submitted well in advance. As a result, our exceptional health and safety performance has marked us out as industry leaders and we continue to invest into this area to ensure we remain at the top of our field.
